SBI SANJEEVANI delivers doorstep healthcare through Mobile Medical Units (MMUs), ensuring that essential primary health services reach remote communities consistently and reliably.

Program Objective (Brief Overview)

The objective of the program is to bridge healthcare access gaps in remote tribal areas by providing mobile, preventive, and primary healthcare services, with a focus on maternal and child health.

The Challenge

Remote tribal villages in Damoh and Singrauli districts face limited and irregular access to primary healthcare services, leading to untreated illnesses, gaps in maternal care, and low immunization coverage.

Core Interventions

  • Deployment of Mobile Medical Units (MMUs)
  • Antenatal Care (ANC) and maternal health services
  • Vaccination and immunization support
  • Basic diagnostic and emergency healthcare services
  • Referral linkages to higher health facilities when required

Impact Delivered

  • Healthcare services delivered across 40 remote villages
  • Improved access to maternal and child health services
  • Increased immunization coverage in hard-to-reach areas
  • Reduced travel burden for rural families seeking medical care

Key Learning

When healthcare travels to the last mile, distance stops being a barrier — and dignity in health becomes accessible to all.
